Just wanted to stop by and officially introduce myself.

Hello! I'm Zuriel and I'm an obsessed fan and can't get enough B/A.

And so I lurked, like forever, and finally decided to join in the fun and mayhem.

Though I'm rather new to the fandom, I'm also on LJ...write a little B/A from time to time...and I can't say enough good things about the people I've seen posting there and here. You guys are awesome!

Hi Zuriel,

Sorry about the belated welcome. I was away when you posted and then I missed your post. Not good.

Welcome to the forum. It's great to see you here.

Thanks, ares and kairos.

Just wish I had more time to post! I come here and lurk, read and think I'm going to add my two cents, but then something always comes up and I'm off doing something else.

Not enough time in the day!!!!

Plus I have another obsession now which is taking up a great deal of my time. One obsession was bad enough, but two is downright crazy for me.

Still...glad to be here and really enjoy reading everyone else's comments. I'm with you in spirit, if that helps. Smile

*grins*

Are we allowed to know what your other obsession is?

Well, if you insist...

My new obsession is reading an urban fantasy series called The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. And it's all Dorotea's fault. She told me about them, and now I'm totally hooked, and madly in love with these books...14 so far (a total of 25 books eventually).

I read them all rather quickly, couldn't put them down. And I'm re-reading a little slower, trying to pick up all the stuff I missed.

Now Harry Dresden is my second favorite fictional character, right behind Angel. There's a nifty forum for all Butcher's works, and since it's an ongoing series, there is a lot more participation.

But I won't ever give up my first obsession, yet this one runs a really close second. Smile

Love The Dresden Files. Didn't like the show.

They're good, aren't they?

LOL! I'm usually the last one to the party. Rolling Eyes

But that works to my advantage. Others have figured out some things that I don't have time to dwell on.

And there are the same sort of debates there as here...over souls, free will, guilt, redemption, etc., etc.

All in all I think it's a fantastic series and I can't wait to see where it all leads. The newest book, Cold Days, should be out this fall...October or November, if everything goes right.

I haven't read the Dresden Files, but I know others have...don't forget we have a 'Library' forum for discussing books. Smile

I forgot to mention the TV show. It was very disappointing, but then I guess when you only have a budget of five dollars, you can't expect much. The special effects could have been awesome, but the story is quite complicated and concessions would have to be made, which would affect the overall story. So maybe it's a good thing to just leave it in book form. That's awesome enough. Very Happy
